It’s happened, till last week what we thought was unthinkable 🤯. One person is likely to become the owner of the world’s most influential social network 🐦. Elon Musk’s offer of $44 billion was accepted by the Twitter board 😱.
While some people acquire value, some continue to steal it! Ever popular NFTs by Bored Ape Yatch Club worth $2.8 million were stolen using sophisticated social engineering by hacking into the groups Instagram account 🙈🙉🙊.
While there is a whole different kind of stealing going on with insane price hikes due to post covid demand surge and the war in Ukraine, 🏎 Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) products maker Unilever raised 📈 prices by over 8% and warned of more hikes to come.
While Bitcoin found another friend in the Central African Republic 🇨🇫 (remember that a country not a region), with it becoming the 2nd country in the world to accept Bitcoins as legal tender 💵 (official form of payment).
And Bitcoin’s closest competitor Gold, yes Gold (if you’re wondering how/why read this), dropped in value as the US Dollar reached a 20 year high.

Down and out for the past year, Facebook owner Meta saw stock rise 14% in one day last week with better than expected Earnings per Share of $2.72 against the predicted $2.54; it continues to heavily invest in building its metaverse platforms investing a cool $2.96 billion into it IN ONE QUARTER 🤯.
Amazon shares on the other hand fell 14% 😅 on slowing sales.
Mental models.. whaaaat! 🤯
My dad insisted we put this section in here, even though I protested saying its going to be a while before kids need to apply mental models. Mental models are nothing but ways of thinking, you can use as a framework, to take decisions or solve problems. Who knows, they might just be useful!
From Systems Thinking to "Outside the Box" thinking.
The other day we ordered in a whole 12-piece box of doughnuts (naughty us) and after we opened it we just couldn't get it to shut! Inspite of trying multiple, possibly similar ways, we had to stop and literally 'think outside the box' (put the flaps on the outside than the inside!!🤷) And so.. sometimes, take a step back, wait for a while, and think 'outside the box' to find your solution.As always an interesting Farnam Street take here.
