Meet the Rabbit R1
It was only a matter of time that a whole lot of custom devices prop up that were exclusively designed for use with AI, and do we have a rather sweeeet one here. The Rabbit R1 is a new hardware meant to be AI-first, and comes not just with an LLM (Large Language Model) but also with a custom built “LAM” or Large Action Model. Don’t worry if you don’t know what that is.. see wait what.
Watch Rabbit’s founder Jesse Lyu make an excellent case. Specially pay attention to how he frames the problem, the gaps in the market and then shows how the R1 addresses these.

Large Action Model (LAM): Not a generic industry term but one that might just have been coined by Rabbit (we’re not 100% sure); but like an LLM (Large Language Model) is trained to generate text a Large Action Model is trained to undertake actions think of its as a complimenting agent to an LLM - the LLM deciphers “what” to do, and the LAM does it.
