Yet another Elon Musk world-impacting innovation company, Neuralink, that builds brain chips to assist humans in medical and cognitive enhancement applications has implanted its first chip in a human. These chips enable direct communication between the human brain and computers; and one day perhaps vice-versa.
The first applications aim to assist those that cannot move or speak, to communicate using this interface. It’s possibly also the very first step to us humans becoming Cyborgs 😱 🤖. Combined with the leaps in AI and LLMs this technology can be transformational and perhaps one day may help us stay well clear of an AI doomsday 😵💫; ensuring humans stay as smart, if not smarter, than AI.
