While Devin claims to be the ‘first’ AI software engineer, we’ll take that with some caution; given what many other AI systems can do with code and software programming. BUT.. what we can’t take away from them is that they are probably the first, made for coding, AI with some specific tooling available in it that potentially makes it a proper software engineer 👩💻🧑💻👨💻. Its very basic and early for now, but projects like these can/will transform software development.
