If last week’s Energy & Gas shortage wasn’t enough, we now have a shipping blockage 🚢🚢🚢. A record number of ships have crowded the coasts of California, due to a post-covid demand boom💥. $90 billion of trade has been delayed in total.
Facebook plans to create 10,000 more jobs in the EU. Apparently all for developing their metaverse products. They’re so serious about the metaverse 🌃 movement that they are planning to rebrand their name too👈! That’d be the end of an age.. err era.
The all new Porsche Taycan left the mighty 911 🏎 in the dust. Taycan outsold the 911 in the first nine months of 2021. Taycan started life in late 2019 and sold 28,640 cars, while the longtime flagship 911 sold 27,972 😱. EVs are sure here and here 👇
iPhone 📱 manufacturer makes first electric vehicles 😱. Foxconn, Apple’s long time iPhone manufacturing partner is trying to make EVs into a $35 billion business in 5 years time and revealed 3 vehicle prototypes - a sedan, a SUV and an electric bus 🚌. If Apple is making a car, they sure don’t need to look far for a supplier partner :)
Sony is legally threatening accessories maker Dbrand 😡 to stop selling Darkplates for their PS5s. Gamers 🎮 who weren’t satisfied with the white faceplates of the PS5 were able to replace the white faceplates with Dbrands supercool Darkplates to get an all black PS5 🤯.

Metaverse: The virtual world! Yes the internet has “worlds” of its own, with land, cities and so much more. These virtual worlds 🌆🌃 on the internet are referred to as the Metaverse.

In its Series E round, Indian credit card payments startup CRED raised $251 million.. at a $4.01 billion valuation 🤯. Surprising bit is that it has a revenue of just $14.4 million; meaning they got a valuation multiple of over 270x 😱.
Paypal is trying to acquire Pinterest for ~ $40 billion! Since Pinterest has several users that run small businesses, PayPal would get a chance to do more than just be used for payments.

Apple held a second event in less than a month. During the event, Apple released the new MacBook Pro as well as AirPods 3rd generation. The Mac starts at almost $2000 and ends at $6000+ 🤯. They’re some of the most expensive laptop we have ever seen!! But they are pretty cool. 👇
