#39 China GDP Forecast Dropped
While Global Growth Slows Down

Busy business this week 💼
Investment bank Goldman Sach’s revised China’s GDP growth forecast from 4.8% to 4.3%. Now 0.5% may not seem like much, but adds up to a cool $73 billion 😱, given China’s GDP was $14.72 Trillion in 2020 🤑.
While the World Bank predicted that global growth will slow down to 4.1% in 2022, down from 5.5% in 2021. 📉
You might recall Edition 30’s Shipping blockage that delayed well over $90 billion in trade, .. well it’s now leading to Chipping shortages 🤣🍟🤣! McDonalds Japan has reduced the size of their French Fries and will only sell “S-sized fries” across 2900 stores, given ongoing impacts on shipping from blockages, covid absence, and port disruptions caused due to flooding 🌊.
All of these shortages are sure not impacting one industry however.. Luxury Cars 🏎 >> Rolls-Royce saw sales zoom 49% to hit 5,586 a record number of sales in its 117 year history. Bentley saw demand up 31% , while Aston Martin said sales to dealers surged 82% 🚀🚀🚀
And boy the ‘time’ for NFTs is really here it seems.. Chicago resident and motion graphics designer Jesus Calderon’s algorithmically created, ‘virtual world’ watch ⌚️ NFTs have sold for as much as $20,000 - way way more than some real world Rolex watches! 🤯
Wait, what is..
GDP: Total monetary value of all goods and services produced in a region. It’s one of the most important metrics to understand how well a country is progressing economically 💵. Ask a big person what ‘economically’ means in this context and Geek out here.
Global Growth: Global Growth refers to nothing but Economic Growth 😅. Well and economic growth is the growth in the world’s collective GDP.. or simply put the increase in the production and consumption of goods and services.
Investment Bank: A bank that advises on how to best make investments. 💰

The Persistence Mental Model - Not sure how many of you have written out those Resolutions 🤔, but for those that have.. say hello to Persistence - the act of following through a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.
Remember the first thing is showing up, the second is starting up and the third, and most important one, is staying up and at it. If you've set your mind to something, the only thing standing between you and achieving that goal is.. Persistence🤷. Your will and desire to GET IT DONE. Thats all. This is one product worth the wait.. but it might be quite a wait.. Apple’s AR/VR headset rumoured to land a 2022 release, seems delayed to 2023 due to heating issues. With it supposedly needing the same 96W charger as the MacBook Pro, we’re not surprised 🥵.
